Hi All

So on the 07/01/2014 I took delivery of my "new" ride and first BMW...an E39 525i Sport in Sterling Grey with black interior.... and the Journey thus far has been Awesome!

Met loads of hardcore BMW fanatics in the past two months who have reassured me in my purchase and given me great ideas on mods which will surely leave me broke for a while lol. Here's to meeting many more!!

Pics to follow soon+ a few toys...watch this space!

Welcome fellow E39 owner!

Now... PICS!

P.S. You've had your E39 exactly 7 days longer than I have

Thanks Guys!

I love the motor in this car as well, not the most powerful, but great nonetheless.

The activity on this site and wealth of knowledge actually gave me comfort in purchasing the Beemer, coming from a previously Japanese only car ownership history.

Looking forward to updating shortly. I'm just waiting for this weather to clear so that I can take some proper pics with a clean car!

hahaha

I still cant get used to JHB's weather

This pic is all I could muster up - sorry abt the quality guys.

5's are awesome as I've come to learn, however like most ppl on this forum, I'd like to improve mine in the search for something a bit more unique. I'm thinking of subtle style improvements...something along this line...

Lets see what happens!

I hear you. Its the look of the car that just stole my heart - I actually went to view a 320d but drove home with this instead

Your M Sport is pefect exactly the way she is! :inlove:

I agree. Ironically, these days if you want to stand out, keeping your car clean and oem is the way to go becuase it's simply so rare.

And they were probably in rubbish condition.

And they were probably in rubbish condition.

One had damage to the front end (been reversed into) and highish mileage.

The other was decent. But sold before I could get it

To be honest, I've actually only noticed the rarity of the M-Sport model after becoming an E39 owner

Solid advice guys...

Was this the same car posted on the Gum earlier in the year, looks to be the same colour?
