Alpine White Goodness

Had an F10 530d come over and play over the weekend :joy:. I'll put up a proper review when I have the time - the new 8-Speed Trannies are amazingly quick. The F10 is very refined and saying I was impressed would be a massive understatement, there isn't much to fault with this car apart from the over-assisted steering.

Also: Why don't BMW make Xenons on a car like the 5 series!? It had all the goodies: Blinds, Rear-view camera, Nav, M-Sport Kit, 20inch rims etc and NO XENONS!? Surely they should be standard by now.

Here are a few photos with an E60 and my E46:

Glad you had some fun.

I like the over all look and feel of the car as well, just something about the front just puts me off a bit.

Sweet! :praise:

Back in the day I was involved with a European chick.
Her brother and her always mentioned that their was so much white and red cars in SA. Which is true.

I said: "If i ever had a choice of a car I would prefer it not to be white or red"
Luck would have that my first car was red and second car white :fencelook:
I got third time lucky and now have a Champagne colour car :joy:

Have to admit though the Alpine White is super sexy.
Something about it that makes a BMW just look more Sporty.

Looks beautiful!! :praise: Love the Alpine White!

Quick question, can you get good enough diesel in Malawi?

The diesel quality here isn't bad nor is it any good. We have a very limited choice with fuel grade here - actually we only have 1 choice per filling station. The quality varies depending on the supplier.

We have an X5 35d that has run on this "non-low-sulphur" diesel for 25,000kms problem free. It's currently sitting at 48,000kms, there is the occasional black smoke coming from the exhausts...which doesn't happen often enough to worry!

I totally agree, white/red M-Sport BMWs always immediately catch my eye, let alone ///M cars. White - or very light colours in general - make the "air dams" and lines more apparent, making the car look more aggressive.
