Very nice, one owner vehicle?

Interesting that it's got the sport seats, was that a factory option on normal 4 doors here in SA?

The first thing that worked my nerve was the back bumper so I had to get that sorted
Removed the bumper and started to do some work on it , placed it in the press using various size wooden blocks to get the shape back then slowly worked the metal to get it as close to original as possible
The results speaks for itself

One owner doesn’t mean it couldn’t have been changed somewhere along the line . However I am no expert on the e30 this would be my second one .

The next thing that really put the car off was this apparently hard to find a replacement front spoiler .

One of my favorite spray products for plastic
Apply your adhesion promoter “plastic primer” then a good build primer apply one good coat . Did not take pics during primer.

This is the effect that you can achieve depending on your spray technique, speed and angle.

Front end had a little bucklenand few dings where the renewed spoiler woukd now sit, leaving an ugly gap. We just can't have that. Factory stone chip was also tired so I'll attend to that as well.

8 x 8mm hex screws and the front end is removed watch out for the actual pipe if you attempt to remove your front end. Also remove the spot lamp harness to avoid and breakage to the wirea or worse the lamps.

Front lower section which I straighrend using. 6mm pine strips which I cut and used to strsighten the line aa closest to original as I can.

The left side had a ding causing a slight kink towards the upper section of the spot lamp.

Panel beated the corner using a curved panel hammer and my rice bag . The plan was to use no body filler. I continued to shape the panel to the closest to original form. Then went at it with the DA sander to feather in the existing stone chip.Hit it with a brief coat of build primer then flattened it and stone chipped it using white stone chip, which will later be painted over.

Before the middle section was sanded primed and stonechipped, I straightened the damaged area to match the left side which had seemed unaffected. It had a slight curve to it, test fitting the spoiler I found that it fitted perfectly and continued to form it to match the left side.

Kink above the left fog and corner left damaged area straightened without the use of any filler.

Completed front valance. I am happy with the the results I have achieved. Primer done ready to paint in the morning. More to follow

Thank you.

Bought from a local paint shop in my area.Just Google for a distributor in your area that supplies car systems product. Cost is R200 per can. Flexible filler can also be bought at any paint supply shop. The one I used is HB Body. I love they products.

Nicely done...

As to the sport seats, I know they were an option on the plastic bumper 4 door models, so very possible they were optioned on chromies as well.
