Non BMW content this time, but as you guys know by now, when I go shopping for x, I often end up buying y. In my hunt for an E36 M3 or suitable project, I came across this Beetle and it just felt like I needed to buy it. It was worth the drive out to go and have a look - original paint, motor, interior (for the most part), very few little imperfections from the many years on the road and very limited rust (just surface rust which I will probably treat and keep for the look.
I have never owned a VW before, but always liked the Beetle (my Grandfather once owned a similar one). I don't know whether I will keep her long term but let's see.
There is enough work required to keep me happy as a little project bringing back some of the paint, a little upholstery and a few refreshes here and there.
Hopefully it will be an interesting addition to the garage
