What material was used for Headliner?Haven't updated this thread.
Had an issue with slight overheating when driving in traffic and when pushing it a bit and I was also getting a exhaust camshaft fault. Replaced the exhaust solenoid but didn't make any difference.
Decided to do a block test and found the cylinder head gasket had failed. Checked timing as well and it was off on the exhaust side.
So head stripped and sent to engineers to recon, installed new gaskets, headbolts etc.
New thermostat fitted at the same time.
Redid the timing, flushed the cooling system and happy to report she is running like a champ now and with no faults.
Night and day difference in terms of power after doing the head and setting the timing correctly.
Did a full service, new tappet cover gasket and intake boot. Rear diff bushing was also done.

Also installed a brand new in the box BMW E46 professional radio which is quite rare that I managed to source from one of my BMW parts suppliers. Very fortunate to have found it.
The professional radio has dual FM tuners and a much better amplifier. Sound quality has improved dramatically and the Harmon Kardon system sound sounds even better now.
