Looks great, look forward to the Exhaust sound clip. would you have a before and after comparison?

Also, does the exhaust come with the Exhaust button in the Centre Console, or was that already there?

The car did not come with the exhaust button.
As part of the retrofit kit, a new button console is included that has the new button.
The technician did not wire this correctly at first, but a more experienced technician fixed this when I brought the car back.

Not much to report.

Small oil sweat was due to Oil Pump Solenoid Cover O-Ring. First repair out of Plan and was not outrageous.

Car is being used almost daily (apart from WFH required on a day or two a week).

Will likely hit 60,000km before year end.IMG-20250911-WA0002.jpgIMG-20250911-WA0003.jpgIMG-20250911-WA0001.jpg

I think I might have passed you in traffic yesterday on my way home, on Main road just past Maple road... or it could have been a similar car.

Well, decided to invest in a genuine space saver spare wheel (similar to what I had on my 981 Boxster and Cayman).

These are inflatable wheels that fit in the frunk. The damaged wheel will have to sit in the rear seats.

Just don't ask how much it cost 🫣

This is what it may look like

Wheel and tools arrive later in the month.

Longer road trips loading......

Small update:

Rear brake pads were up for replacement now at 58,000km.
They were last replaced in May 2024 (under Plan) at 35,000km.
I figure 23,000km of daily driving and weekend blasting is not bad for brake pads on a 911. These are non-ceramics

With my current usage patterns, I will be replacing rear pads every 18 months. Dealer pricing and independent workshop (Cafe 9 quoted a friend) pricing and not too far apart. I am willing to stick with the dealer to keep the full history with them.

The front pads were replaced in May 2024 and are still good, according to the dealer.

The rear tyres may need replacing in Q1 2026 (25,000km would have been travelled by that time on that set) due to wear on the inner edges, due to how the suspension is set up. But all looks good for now.

My Steelmate internal TPMS is still performing well (the car was not specced with TPMS), but will need to get new sensors for the rear tyres when it is time to change the tyres. At R499 a sensor, it is a consumable item. While a sensor can be reused, these Steelmate items can loose their sealing properties when removed. Steelmate, while a Chinese brand, does have a solid distributor in SA and stock is not an issue.

I am two minds about fitting aftermarket Android auto to the car. Will look into this next year.

Anyway, not looking at selling this car soon. Also not looking at another car as a daily. It serves its purpose well, all year round.

Which version of PCM do you have? Wired apple carplay enabled or no?

If so checkout bluebus, it *may* sort you out. I paid something like R500 landed for mine and it gives me wireless AA which is pretty seamless.

I think 3.1 from 2013. No android auto
I will need to investigate these options.
Thanks for feedback
