20% - Legal is 70%
The 20% takes some getting used to but I have driven a vehicle with 35% which has perfect visibility at night so I think that would be the perfect balance.

Small update.
The original 320d badges were painted gloss black when I had the wheels refurbed but the task of adding 2 way tape to each number/letter to refit required more time than I had.
Went the easy route and ordered a badge from @FiRi@Rennzport a while back and finally had some time to fit it:
Had the old badge glue residue left behind so I can get the location right whenever doing it:
Masked the location and removed the glue residue:
New badge fitted:
Some customary morning pics after a mod....no matter how small 😅

What I have done thus far:
Oil services every 7500kms
Other filters as due
Coolant and brake fluid flushes from time to time
Gearbox serviced - really cheap on the manual (around R1500)
Brake discs and pads (Oem parts)
2 x Wheel speed sensors (Febi from GW)
To do:
Vibration damper
Suspension refresh
BC Coilovers that I purchased years ago and haven't fitted yet
Clutch replacement when needed (purchased this years ago as well and have kept)

On the manual, what's rpm @ 120km/h? Haven't had the chance to drive a manual diesel 20d/30d yet. I'm sure first gear is non-existant?

Sorry @DRCraig I completely missed this post. Will check the rpm and revert.
With regards to first gear, if driving hard/launching then yes revs up pretty fast and have to change up quickly, but other than that I use first gear often in traffic/daily driving.
Overall the manual is probably not as quick but definitely lighter on fuel than the ZF8 auto. Also much more reliable with less things that can go wrong and cheaper to maintain.....a transmission service at ZF cost me R1500.

This is interesting, I recall ZF bragging that the ZF8 was one of the first auto boxes which was lighter on fuel than a manual?
I could be wrong, although chances are it is under certain conditions and compared to a 5 speed manual or something along those lines.

Checked around 1900rpm at 120km/h bud.
I see even Google claims the ZF8 is more economical but real world the manual is lighter. My uncle that I purchased my car from had both mine and an auto F30 320d simultaneously and the manual was always better on fuel. Even on trips from Durban to Jhb the manual would be at least 0.5 to 1L/100km lighter.
