S54 swapped E30 Coupe

Hi Gents

As requested

Over last 2 years i have been busy restoring my e30 , the car was stripped of every bolt and nut and the body was taken down to bare metal so i could treat and repair every bit of rust found
It was then coated with epoxy primer before being prepared for the brilliant red paint work and the treated to a whole lot of underbody sealant and cavity wax
Once the body was complete it was then time for the motor which i opted for a complete S54 motor , gearbox and ECU
The motor was then opened up and bearings were checked although still in good spec i decided to put in a new set of agents bearing for peace of mind

My plan was not to build a race car but something that i could i jump in with my wife and kid and drive to anywhere without the thought of having and issue with it
I had to make sure the cooling system was up to the task so i used the E46 M3 radiator, along with fan control unit so the ECU can control it just the way it does in E46 , i also made sure i got the A/C to work

The car is such a pleasure to drive with plenty of power , i feel that the s54 is the best suited engine for the e30

Great build! What did you do in terms of brake booster for this setup? And your rear suspension? Z3 setup for the back? Did you do all the work yourself? Or did you have a shop build it up?

I used a smaller brake booster , not sure exactly which vehicle it came from as i got it from a friend
Rear suspension is from a 325is with half shafts done by Gear & Axle , diff is used is medium case with E36 3.0 M3 crown wheel and pinion
Everything besides painting was done by myself

Well done on doing everything yourself, and completing it. Looks like a masterpiece.
How did you get the e36 cluster to communicate with the S54 ECU, and why was this decision made for the older cluster? I must say I like the older look of the e36 cluster in the e30.
......just wondering if it was a nightmare to get to work
