Hi Guys,
As mentioned on some other posts I got a E93 335i 2011.
Car is Black and has only 34000kms.
DCT
Sat Nav
Heated Seats
Harmon Kardon
Extended Lighting Package
etc
I flew to Cape Town from JHB to pick up the car. Drove it back to JHB in one go and it went amazingly well, no plates on the car so i could really feel the N55 power.
About 2 days later the charge pipe went on the car, so i took it to BMW Midrand. The mechanic at BMW said that the Oil housing unit was on its way out as well. I sent the invoices to the dealer in CT and they were willing to pay, plus fix the glovebox and some clips. (About 20k).
While it was at BMW Midrand, one of the head mechanics Nelson mentioned to me the car has some spraywork and did i know etc.
I was very upset and called the dealer i got the car from (CMH Volvo/Jaguar/Land Rover). I had done all my checks on the car, it was one owner from new and all services done at BMW.
The previous owner was an old man and only used the car on rare occasions. I checked for comments and nothing.
When i mentioned to CMH Cape Town that the car has spraywork, they said yes we are aware and that it was mentioned on a whats app message that the car had "Light cosmetic work done on the car, as it was a 10 year old car the previous owner tried to fix scratches, but we can confidently say the car has never been in an accident'.
I was not happy. They are still wanting to pay the 20k to the car, parts have been ordered and will arrive Monday.
Nelson at BMW Midrand said he will check that the car hasnt been in a smash, on first impressions he said the car looks neat and that it shouldnt be a deal breaker etc.
Please can you guys give me some advice?
Been looking for an E92/E93 low milleage N55 for long and they really hard to come by.
Will add some pics below when i picked it up last week.
Regards Shaun
