Hi I am new to the group wanted to know if there are other z3 owners here? Bought mine on a auction in a bad state. Busy fixing her up slowly but it will be worth it in the end?

Hey bud

I have a 1998 Z3 with a S50B32 transplant.

Ther aren't many of us roadster owners here.

I had one a few months back.

If it's "worth it" is a hard question. If you are talking $$$ then no. People will always be trying to rip you off reselling because it's a 'old' car. Bought mine for R90 000 in a not perfect condition. Spent nearly R15 000 getting her in a close to perfect condition and then I had to let her go for R70 000.

If you are referring to the joy it will bring you then yes. It's worth it. The go cart feel handling, the tail happy cornering, the feeling of driving on a Sunday afternoon with the roof down listening to that exhaust noise... Makes it all worth it

Lovely car. I had a 2001 3 litre steptronic with the optional hardtop. It had full woodtrim, and the harmon cardon sound system. You will love it. I never had problems with mine and trade it in on the Z4 at the time. I now have a 2000 ///M Coupe in the team, which is the sparkle of my eye.

Make contact with Evolution 2 if you need an expert to work on her.

Enjoy your car.

Cool I am planing to spend more on it that it is going to be worth, but having said that I am planing to drive her for years to come. I want mine to be the best looking Z3 in Gauteng :blab:

Well that is my plan. To drive it for the pleasure. I have already Paid 70k for it, then redone the suspension, new clutch, full service, new TNT exhaust. Going in for respray and interior. Then new 18" rims. Thus it is a long term thing for me ?
