Which ONE????
Hey
So a while back i purchased a steering wheel off a Mcoupé............
from someone and decided to have it thickened up and recovered as the standard wheel is abit too narrow for me.Wheel was first done with 3 layers of vinyl underneath and then recovered. What a disaster..............
Eventually opted for a single layer of vinyl and then recovered.Big difference..................
Just a few more pics of what i did and how it eventually looks......
Still not sure what to leave fitted:banghead:
Original or Re-worked??????
Slight tyre issue!!!!!
Also after fitting the Recovered wheel,i decided to check if everything was working as it should and also had'nt driven my car in about two weeks,so i started her up and went for a drive. After about 5metres i could hear that there was a noise coming from my right rear tyre :dunno:,I stick my head out of the window and it sounds like when you driving slowly on a flat tyre!!!!I can also hear a noise like when you have a stone stuck in between one of the treads.I stop immediately and get out to inspect....All seems fine.Carried on for a few more metres and still the same,as if im driving on a flat tyre.....
Decide to u-turn after about a 100m and go back home.On my way back the Tyre Pressure light comes on,indicating that theres a puncture.
I get home and get out and inspect all the tyres. In one of the treads of that specific tyre i find a stone and remove it.I use a tyre pressure gauge to check all tyres and all are exactly the same 2.2.I start vehicle again and go for a drive again,NO NOISE LIKE WHEN YOUR TYRE IS FLAT AND NO NOISE LIKE WHEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING STUCK IN TREADS AND NO DAMN LIGHT!!!!!!!
Whats up with that?????Light could have been something to do with diconnecting battery to take out airbag and fit steering but still does'nt make any sense!!!!!
Any ideas why????????Also i did'nt reset tyre pressure monitor as i did'nt do anything to the pressures!!!!!
Thanks
