Hi bud

Excellent choice of vehicle. Just a small note.. you are using the incorrect grade of oil in the car. The correct grade is 5w30. Prolonged use of the incorrect grade of oil will lead to engine failure.

Thanks for the advice - I have found that if you ask a 100 people what oil to use you will get a 100 different answers. :dunnoanymore:

I know quite a bit of folks on the forum that run HX7 in their 2.0 & 3.0d engine's without any issues. I also know thats what Ross Duncan uses in all the diesel cars going through his workshop. If its good enough for him, its good enough for me?

For anyone interested in attempting the power-steering fluid flush. You can DIY a extractor pump with a blow up mattress pump and a 5L bottle, as pictured below. the process followed is:
1. Open reservoir, drain as much much fluid as possible.
2. Top up with new fluid, start car turn steering left and right a few times, turn off car.
3. Repeat step 1 & 2 above

By the 3rd time you will see the colour of the fluid changes from brown, to (in my case) red.

I havent had much time to drive the past few weeks, and to make matters worse my SO is abroad for 6 months, so I am driving the F25 every now and then too.

With that said, car is happy and pulling strong. Since loading SW a few weeks back I have noticed the following (over and above the increased power):

1. Diesel consumption is somewhat lower. Most noticeable in town. I have yet to confirm, but OBC is reporting up to 1L per 100km lower.

2. Throttle response is increased drastically. To such a point where you have to concentrate not to be hesitant on the accelerator pedal, as any movement will be met with a instant response. Previously the accelerator pedal felt much more "vague". its almost as if there was a lot more play in the pedal.

3. Together with the DP & mid box delete, the 330d doesn't really sound like a diesel anymore (see my video few pages back). On WOT, the sound is even deeper and chunky!

Ill make a detailed video in due time!

I'm sure this is your car.
Correct. Rims are back to OEM tho, and splitters have been removed.

Did a couple of rolling runs this morning: :fencelook:

60km/h - 160km/h
80km/h - 180km/h
100km/h - 200km/h

120km/h - 160km/h in 4th another in 5th

Loads of room for improvement, I even forgot to switch off AC :skit:

Apologies for the shakey video

Nice videos. Power output? Any QM or 1km speeds?
Nothing as yet. Traction off the line in either 1st or 2nd is non existent with the 225's

I'll do a dyno in the near future...
