Another trip to Durban and back done and dusted. Spending Eid and a few days with family is always a treat. We did some sight seeing as well, spent a day at Ushaka. Shark cage diving and the aquarium is amazing.

The car was also treated to a wash and wax by the OCD team on Saturday morning. I just love the look of the car after the wax, i actually took a drying cloth to wipe it as it looked wet and glossy. Will post up some pics and a proper review later...

I did have a mishap on the way though, hit a trailer wheel on the N3 between Mooi River and Escourt. Damaged the undercarriage covers and bumper, something is up with the suspension as well as the car feels very unstable. 2 tyres also cut in the process. Managed to crawl home. Car is at Tune Tech at present for a suspension check, then to the panel shop to see if the bumper can be salvaged or replaced.

Ah F$*@! Sorry man, that's crap!

As much as I love driving to Durban, things like this really put me off driving.

Hope you get her sorted soon.

Sorry to hear bud.

Really hope you get it sorted and can keep the car as she is a beaut and would be very sad thing to see her go.

Sadly, the 330d will not be going on holiday with us this year. We decided to use the airplane instead of tractor this year. I guess the decision to fly rather than drive is due to the 330d's suspension not being 100% yet. All will be sorted in the new year...

For now, hes 2 pics from yesterday's Kyalami Open day.

The car was sent in to be repaired, 5 weeks with a rental was terrible... Got the car back early December after the following was replaced due to the accident:
Front Bumper
Undercarriage covers
Gearbox Sump (New oil and filters as well)
Rear trailing arms
2 rear tyres

I replaced the following while the car was in:
Front control arms and bushes
Front Tie Rods
Front Stabilizer Bars

When i picked up the car, the rear end was all over the place. Took it to my mechanic, he found the rear left stub axle bolts all loose. He tightened them but one of the bolts stripped so it kept coming loose. At this stage, the people who did the suspension had closed. I contacted Insurance, advised them and provided the report from my mech. Today, we await the response and way forward.

My mechanic did temp fix the issue and the car feel much better, bar the rattle. Hopefully, a new stub axle to be fitted and all will be good.

Some pics from Divio at the Kyalami open day:

Arbee those are LCI headlights right?

Correct!

Is it a simple fit, or must there be any conversions done whatsoever ? On my current Pre-LCI I do not have xenon's or angel eyes.

Have to remove the bumper to swap headlights.

If your pre-lci has halogens as standard, then the LCI halogens is a straight fit.

LCI Xenons have a different set of plugs from the harness, so you would need the harness. However, recently, i heard that with coding and retrofitting, the LCI Xenons can work. Best do some research if you going Xenon.

Don't think ill be converting to xenons. So if I can source out LCI halogens with angel eyes its should be a straight fit?
