dude the shine on this car is amazing, what are you using? i would love to get my car in for a detail.

Thanks Deano...

Its been detailed by Yulz and Kyle from OCD. I suppose they laid the initial clean, i just maintain it by using good products to wash and clean the car.

However, lately, i have become lazy and turned to the local car wash. I can already see some swirls and scratches appear. Will tackle them with some AF Triple soon...

Another trip to Durban and back done and dusted. Spending Eid and a few days with family is always a treat. We did some sight seeing as well, spent a day at Ushaka. Shark cage diving and the aquarium is amazing.

The car was also treated to a wash and wax by the OCD team on Saturday morning. I just love the look of the car after the wax, i actually took a drying cloth to wipe it as it looked wet and glossy. Will post up some pics and a proper review later...

I did have a mishap on the way though, hit a trailer wheel on the N3 between Mooi River and Escourt. Damaged the undercarriage covers and bumper, something is up with the suspension as well as the car feels very unstable. 2 tyres also cut in the process. Managed to crawl home. Car is at Tune Tech at present for a suspension check, then to the panel shop to see if the bumper can be salvaged or replaced.

The car was sent in to be repaired, 5 weeks with a rental was terrible... Got the car back early December after the following was replaced due to the accident:
Front Bumper
Undercarriage covers
Gearbox Sump (New oil and filters as well)
Rear trailing arms
2 rear tyres

I replaced the following while the car was in:
Front control arms and bushes
Front Tie Rods
Front Stabilizer Bars

When i picked up the car, the rear end was all over the place. Took it to my mechanic, he found the rear left stub axle bolts all loose. He tightened them but one of the bolts stripped so it kept coming loose. At this stage, the people who did the suspension had closed. I contacted Insurance, advised them and provided the report from my mech. Today, we await the response and way forward.

My mechanic did temp fix the issue and the car feel much better, bar the rattle. Hopefully, a new stub axle to be fitted and all will be good.
Ok, so the car was sent to Eldan Autobody as per my request. They then sent the car to Motorvision for alignment. The previous suspension guys didnt know what they were doing. Managed to sort out the uneasy ride i was experiencing by replacing a bolt. For good measure, i had the rear stub axle replaced i was not feeling safe enough. Car drives like dream once again...

But, For Sale Thread

Tail lights are aftermarket, from Prominetix.

Headlights are OEM LCI's, straight fit. did not have to change anything else.

Wierd hey they look a different shape from the pre facelift lights. Was it the same story with the rear apron? Those double pipes are too nice.

Thats pretty much 'custom' as my car is a 330d. Purchased 335i difuser and X-Flow did a full exhaust like the 335i.

My time with the 330d is limited, i have a few days to say goodbye. Patience has paid off, i got my price. The buyer is a long time fanatic as well (will let him make himself known). Possibly one of the first fanatics i met as well.

I know he will take care of the car as i did, maybe even better. Im sure the car will bring him joy as it did for me. Cheers to many happy, trouble free km to the new owner.

This post makes me happy and sad... :blueCry:

End of an era for you and the begging for someone else. Good to hear it stayed in the fanatics family.

X 35 NOW.....nothing else or else...
