At the sign board (ODI RACEWAY), turn left and follow this road.
This will lead you to the track entrance.
The Days Program:
Racers entry is the same as the Spectator entry, if you see a line, please safely come to the front, verify that you are a racer with the gate keepers and proceed to the pit area.
We plan to be setup and ready to receive the racers by 8am, this will allow us an hour to scrutinize and sort out any last minutes items. There will be a drivers briefing at 8:50am.
Scrutinizing will run until 11am latest.
9am sharp, 1km runs will begin and run until 12pm.
12pm, lunch hour.
1pm, 400m runs, head to head will begin.
3pm, track closes.
3:30pm, Prize giving and vote of thanks in the ODI Lapa
Pit Area
We will mark off the pit area and only allow Racers and crew. Please keep your crew vehicles to a minimum. If the pit area does get too full, we may ask for pit crew cars to be parked in the spectator area.
We want to give racers most space and access in the pit area.
Please note, all additional persons in your vehicle and pit crew will need to pay an entry fee of R30 at the gate. All proceeds will be donated to charity.
Racers Line
Lines will be on a first come first serve basis. Please respect each other in the line.
1km runs are solo (one at a time) - Please make a single file line in the pit area, leading to the staging are and start line.
400m runs are heads up - Please agree and line up with your opponent before reaching the front of the line. If you do not have an opponent, you will have to move to the back of the queue.
Please be fair, no holding of places, etc.
Scrutinizing and Indemnity Form
Once the scrutineers have scrutinized your car, please complete the indemnity form. Please be at your car when scrutinizing is being done.
Safety and Security
The pit area will be cordoned off, however spectators will be allowed to walk and setup Gazebo's in the Pit Area. Please make sure all your valuable items are kept safe and make sure there is someone at your spot to take care of your items.
ODI will provide medical and fire staff should there be a need.
Food
ODI has a canteen, they sell food items and drinks.
