With the summer season ahead, a lot of guys are getting their cars looking their best for the months ahead. What are the benefits though? Well the obvious is a shiny, and downright sexy car. But the protection factor almost outweighs that - a decent wax and sealant allows the paint to be exempted from the harsh elements that belie our summer months. Im talking about the harsh rains, the birds in the trees above where your cars park, and don't let me even start on the bleaching effects of UV Rays from the sun :bluecry:
With all that in mind, Graeme, or Gloach335 on the forum got in touch with me to give his M135i a once over. I must say this is seriously one of the best looking examples I've seen with all the visual mods done right :inlove:
This had a protection detail for the inside and out - the car is fairly new, but needed that something extra to separate it from the other cars on the road.
The car had the usual applied to it - wash, compound, polish and seal.
So here's the paint in its glory:
Medium to light swirling
After a single set with Scholl S3 on a White Spider. The car also had VPS all over that was beginning to change colour due to the dirt stuck in it - no sweat though, it was cleaned up using Menzerna PP Ultra and a white LC pad on the DA.
So with the exterior combo sorted, we went to work, also cleaning the interior. Steam + AF Hide kit for the win in this instance!
Here's what it came out looking like:
Nice matte leather finish :inlove:

The car exterior was done in a day, and topped with Menzerna Powerlock sealant it gave the Estoril Blue some great depth and finish, really something to marvel.
Once the PL was given the obligatory 13 hours set time, the car was topped with a very thin layer of Collinite #915, and here's what we got:
