Awesome consumption there bro! Is that an F10 I see on the screen?
Nicely spotted! Really hate this android unit that's been fitted. Also hate that the car wasn't spec'd with professional nav.

Still need to decide what to do about this.

The interface on this unit is terrible and when showing the Pdc screen it shows an X1!

I also had this Android unit in my f30 when I got it, don’t know about your experience but the lag on the start up as well as the interface itself sucks. Changed it back to a stock F30 Non Nav Screen but saw a few posts on bimmerpost that A F15 X5 screen can be used as a retrofit with just coding. Still looking into it though.

Yup the lag is bad too. I was considering getting a NBT unit and screen with the better scroller and touch pad. Not sure how much they sell for though.

I find it so annoying when inferior SoCs are used for Android devices like this. Always some some trash-tier Mediatek or Broadcom chip. Like just use a proper chip, a top tier Qualcomm Snapdragon, such as those used in the newest smartphones. Cars are typically kept much longer than phones, so it makes perfect sense to use the best available at time of release.

Is there any way to identify what unit you have so any of us looking to upgrade in future do not get the same one. Not sure if there is a brand or so that we should stay away from.

Dry warm conditions and I just can't seem to get the 330d off the line for a clean 0-100kmh launch.

Some disappointing times but a base line to work with nonetheless. Time to master the launch and see how we can improve!

Mark Jones ran 6.15s in Gerotek with an F30 330d. Your times are not bad given the less than perfect conditions and tyres.

@MR_Y that definitely makes me feel a bit better!

We managed getting a 5.5sec 0-100kmh run on a friends stage 2 Tuned F30 330d.

1st gear is even trickier with the added torque.

Did this a few months back :

Finally did my first long distance trip in the 330d.

What a pleasure it was! Smooth, effortless and so economical.

Jhb Killarney to Polokwane (heavy traffic for the first 50kms and then130kmh cruise control for most of remaining 260kms) I achieved 5.5l/100km.

Decided not to reset and instead test what consumption I'd end up achieving wity using the car around town over the weekend and then then highway drive back to Jhb.

6.0l/100km!!! Amazing for a 190kw 560nm car.
