Hi guys...

So a bit of an update to those following, as posted before I had a box of goodies sent in from Sean@axis and a few other service items that need taking care of. The itch to get it fitted was getting the better of me so I started out yesterday after work.

The current to do list was the the ffg:
Hnr Springs all round
Lemforder Front tie rod ends
Lemforder front drop links
Front Brake caliper guide pin bushes

I first did the ride height measurements for front and back. The rear sat a full cm lower than the front. It seems the rear springs on the e90/92 end up sagging a bit more than the fronts over the life of the car.

I managed to finish the rears with some help from the dbn boys last night but was concerned about leaving the car on stands overnight while the struts were out on the fronts, this morning I took it into my trusty local tyre and alignment shop were the front struts were pulled out and the springs swopped.

While the suspension was stripped up we took the opportunity to do the drop links and tie rods as well. This job was wrapped up and after a short drive to settle the suspension it went to the alignment bay to be set.

Thanks must be given to Vees tyres in longbury drive Phoenix for the awesome service, dedication to doing the work slowly but correctly the first time round and the exceptionally keen price for the work. If your a durban local they can be reached at 0315006041.

Reaper got a well deserved wash and vacum this afternoon after these pics.

Presently I can have finished the full front refresh on all joints, knuckles and arms. Next on the list is new shocks. Depending on budget and availablity constraints it should be with me in the next 4 weeks.

Intial review of the front and rear end are extremely positive. The combination of new front tyres, arms and ancillary items have made the steering feel a lot more collected and calm. The springs, while I had my reservations on the difference in ride comfort has actually surprised me in its behavior. The ride is noticeably softer compared to M Sport springs and comes together very well. My only concern is the nose is now low. Lower than I am comfortable with on a daily basis but I will learn to negotiate speed bumps and driveways again.

I will measure the fender heights again with a pic or 2 and revert by Sunday.
