Well let's start this off by saying, this was VERY unexpected, unplanned for and too good not to jump on it.
This actual car belongs to a Rennzport client and good friend who brought the car home to get some accessories fitted in Decemeber. Ive worked on many G01s over the past few years, and know what an excellent car it is from build quality to drives train and ride. However I've never looked at one as a purchase for 3 reasons :
1. All 30ds out of budget
2. We were very happy with the F25
3. Never seen any with a comour combo that drew my attention.
As the garage door opened to begin work on this particular car, the 1st thing that hit was the interior colour which i thought looked like saddle brown, but BMW now calls Cognac.
Walked around and the car looked clean and continued on about my work of fitting the accessories. Once completed started chatting to owner and inquired about selling and price he was looking at if he did end up selling in a few months. Took my partner for test drive , came back and the X left.
Chatted to my partner later that evening, and said the opportunity is great if it arises in a few months when he decides to sell. The next day, i gave him a call to enquire about history etc and he sent through all relevant history documents and build sheets....i joked about wanting the car in a week or 2, and he said if yous serious why not.
And that when the bug bit, and the work to revert the F25 started. Within 3 days she was back to stock. All accesories removed, suspension, exhaust, rims and software all done.
A dealer was offered the car and they came through and collected it.
Decemeber 25th....the G01 was delivered and the RENNZPORT daily's journey began.
