The car doesnt have a custom map, Its running jb4 map 3 with some tweaks.

What boost additive setting were you running? 35/40?

What does this mean? I have read this a few times and no one to ask :flyfun:

It's basically additional boost over a base of 12.8psi.
You can adjust it on the fly from the steering wheel controls. In a range from 0 to 80 (8.0Psi) 45=4.5psi.

JB4 won't let you boost beyond your set safe boost limit that you set via Laptop.

does such a high mix of ethanol not mess up the hpfp?

Rick,

You could prob push out a few more Kw with your setup but after that whats next?

Backend flash? Big turbo's?

glad to hear its all working 100%

Now lay down some fast times

The mix is actually too low for much of an octane effect. My question is slightly different to Hoosain: How does the fuel trims look like? You could bump the ethanol to 50 - 60% but your trims & advance will guide you on how the lpfp is behaving. That mix will give you some serious power together with the meth to make the mix nice & thick. I would drop the additive to 60 until you able to increase the octane mix or the eth mix.

Thanks for the explanation Charles!

Next for this car: I want to fiddle with intercooler and charge pipe setup, should be good for a few ponies

then i would like to get hold of some RBs but only after we do some times on the stock turbos
As you know there's 2 records so wanna try go for both instead of just one :fencelook:

Thanks Twinz we will definetlly have a look at it Burgy did tell me to put 50% eth to the fuel but ran out of eth so thats why it was low hahaha but we def will keep to a 50% mix from now on as i dont even think i will drive the car without Eth these days as the Eth is just way too much fun

Build it,,,Race It,,,Break It ,,,Repeat

Eish, everyone is out to get me hehe
What size meth jet you using?

Do not get infatuated with dyno runs and do all your logging and tuning on the road. Get the logs to look good there and whatever happens on the dyno happens. When I set up my car I always use to do a hard first, second, third, fourth and fifth pull and made sure the tuning was right for fifth with no timing dropouts after sustained load in the previous gears and heat build up to the max. This is the secret in getting the car to run fast on the top.
The widebody is going to make you battle a bit on the km.

I still got the slick tyres. Might be selling soon but will put up a thread.

I am busy dusting the cobwebs off the 335 as we speak as I need to get it back into track condition just to push the envelope a bit further. I found a mother of boost leaks caused by one or other BMW agent prior to me fitting the RB's so I have the answer as to why I couldn't get the high rpm power I wanted  Fixing this today and will put up some interesting pics.
