Pretoria - unrest / protests / riots

I actually don't know how to put my thoughts into words with this one.

Read the news yesterday and one of the headlines was that the unrest was due to the Fact that the Mayoral Candidate was a Zulu.

In all honesty what does have to do with the price of Milk or Service Delivery. I read another report where a politician called it tribalism but in all honesty its just another form of blatant racism which really should not be tolerated which as mentioned here above has just been an excuse for criminal activity and looting and that is utter bullshit. Its just a free for all and half these people who cashing in probably don't even care about the Mayoral candidate.

I hate to say it but how do we cultivate a rainbow nation if this is the case. :RedNo::RedNo::RedNo::skit:

I am just dumbfounded on this one.

because looting a bottle store is going to help you in any way

The looting is just taking advantage of a situation where police cannot control a crowd, and so a crowd clearing out a shop won't/can't be arrested as easily a single person can be.

You ask where the cops are? Some of them are grocery shopping along with the looting crowds :=):

Happened in Durban recently too. There are no consequences for this type of behaviour. They can enjoy creating chaos, looting and destroying without fear of prosecution. Why should they stop? Its all too easy to hide behind a political motive.

These visas better hurry up.
