New daily whip - F30 330d M Sport

Hey guys, been a long time since I posted on here, haven't had a BMW in years.

I needed a car to run to my new place of work and home 3 days a week and my Golf V6 4motion is waaaayy too juicy to use so decided I needed another beemer in my life.

Ended up with this after searching. I really wanted an F10 530d, but missed out on a beaut. When I saw this F30, and how well the previous owner looked after it, I decided to get into an F30 again.

Spec list is huge with a, for the UK, rare sunroof:
Invididual Tanzanite Blue Metallic
Individual Extended Merino Leather - Kaschmir-beige
M sport
Xenons
Front & rear PDC
Heated Sport seats
Split folding seats
Heated and folding mirrors
Pro Nav
Extended cluster
Park Assist
Harman Kardon
Sport auto with paddle shift

I will be adding electric and memory seats soon.

Stunning spec and that colour combination just works so well!

Start another thread in the Other Car section on your Golf as well.

Beautiful i love that colour combo on the F30s, the 40Year Edition catches my eye specifically for this reason as well.

Congrats!

I reckon it's about time that I update this thread, nothing in the way of pics, but I have added the following since my original post:

459 Electric memory seats
488 Electric lumbar support
248 Heated steering wheel
Android Auto 10" touch screen
Kafas2 installation giving the following:
5AD Lane Departure Warning
5AC High Beam Assist
8TH Speed Limit Information
Front Collision Warning
and Pedestrian Warning (both part of 5AS option code)
5DF Active Cruise control with stop & go function (this was a big one with having to change the ABS pump too)
I completely forgot that I also installed the IHKA3 LCI Climate control panel

And tomorrow I will be installing something I been waiting a while to do, 6WB Digital instrument cluster.

I have also fitted the full M Performance kit, but no rear spoiler which is the way I like it.

The only things left to retrofit that would be of interest is 5AG Lane Change Warning (Blind spot detection), 322 Comfort Access and upgrade the NBT to NBT Evo ID6.

To be honest, the remaining options would be nice, but I think my car is just about perfect now and is definitely the car I have kept the longest and, for the first time ever with a car, I don't feel the need to change it. It's just awesome.

I will take some pics over the coming days once I have had a chance to wash her.

The Golf will be going to my mate's place in South Africa for a full restoration from the ground up and colour change. I will see if we get a chance to get them to take pics. It should be going in the next month or so. It will then remain in SA with the intention to turbo it. Will update you guys when all this happens.

How difficult was it to add electric seats, plug and play or harness alterations required?

It wasn't difficult at all. I was really surprised that most of the wiring was already in place. I think I only had to run a twisted pair for CAN to the FEM, been a while now so a little hazy.

I bought some plain leather seats out of an F32 and then changed the leather and foam over from my seats. I then purchased the lumbar adjustment bits and installed them. Once all that was done, I had to find the controls with lumbar support which seem to be quite thin on the ground.

The latest news on the Golf is above. Will only be shipped in the next month or so.
