The Z4 really needs more brake cooling, I was struggling to do more than 2 hard laps before the brakes needed a cool down. So I found a post on a UK forum about brake cooling on the Z4 and it seemed too easy not to do. Pulled out some brake ducting coupled to a small length of aluminium pipe that is attached close to the calipers with steel cable ties. The pipes collect high pressure air from in front of the radiators and discharge the air to the centre of the brake discs. Nice and discreet. Gave the discs a light resurfacing while I was in there as they had started developing a bit of a shudder after the Kylami adventures

Yes - I did replace the cable ties with the big ones and neatened off the tails






I also fitted rear trailing arm bush limiters, will take the car in for "M3 CSL" wheel alignment settings and get rid of the Vitours; once and for all. If you only judge a tyre by its longevity, they are the best tyres in the world. Pretty shit at everything else tho...

Now to arrange a session to test my upgrades...
