My (hopefully not a project) Z4M

From my experience this weekend with cars in a similar performance level to the Z4, with the proviso that we were all driving at "six tenths" (we were not) and my really rather quite rubbish front tyres:

Mustang: they pulled away from me on the straights but I caught them under braking and in the corners
Golf GTi: I pulled away from them everywhere, but surprisingly close
Golf R: Pretty even on the straights, but they rocketed out of corners
BMW Race Series E36 and race taxi - fully race prepped cars, I had them on the straights, but they made me look a bit silly in the corners

I had a ride in the Golf R - the driver was giving it twelve tenths, really quite aggressive, but I was very impressed with how the cars electronics tidied everything up and translated sledge hammer inputs into forward progress
Those Mustangs are the most useless things under the sun. I went for a drive in the latest darkhorse and I can honestly say it was extremely terrible. (No offense to anyone that owns one).

We are in 2025 and there is still loads of plastic kak on the inside of them not to mention, handling wise its rather horrid. There's a reason they don't hold their value and they dirt cheap pre owned. Ford were able to perfect the Ranger Raptor, but they couldnt do that with their most iconic performance car which is sad.

My M140i loves lining up next to a 5.0 GT.

Mustangs are great for noise and nostalgic Americans, anywhere else its as useful as female hooker in a male gay bar.
I just knew you were gonna say something like this 🤣 🤣 🤣 .

I even think our F30s, (more yours than mine) would keep up with them.

With that said, Raptor >>>> Mustang

Thought it was you on track Benji . Was there yesterday with the RS club (yes my MK2 RS made it and was on display).

Managed to get a hot lap in the GTI , which was quick. Also managed to get a hot lap in the GR Yaris. The GR was immense on track - actually scary sitting in the passenger seat with the driver breaking extremely late. Not stock though

Nicely done Benji 👏, Glad to see you enjoying your MCoupe to the max. Its such a fun and capable car but the brakes are the biggest let down. they good enough for the street but on track the heat really affects it, Additional Cooling is needed.

Benji you drove like a pro bud. I can confirm I was one of his passengers...thanks meneer! It was heaps of fun. The car's suspension really is solid and confidence inspiring. I never felt any brake issues...I was having too much fun. But seriously, you drove really well.

To reward the little Z4 for all its hard work and for generally being my most reliable car, I treated her to a relatively rare extended leather kit - leather covered door cards and sun visors. Smells nice and makes the interior feel just that little bit more premium

And the only "action shot" I have of the Z4 at Kylami

How's the interior holding up? Looking like this thing is becoming a keeper - if so maybe one of those fancy pants carbon steering wheels in the offing...

Interior is holding up fantastically except for the roof lining which has started sagging so that is on the list of tings to do

Really not a fan of carbonfibre in interiors. Id much rather have the aluminium trim or wood
