That touring!!![]()

I know, right?! The person who built that car just got hold of a dark blue wagon and will be giving it the ZHP treatment: https://www.instagram.com/bmwwagonguy/Totally agree, that e46 Touring is fire and sold for more than the other cars....
Yes exactly, it fits on somewhere above the normal 330i. The ZHP is a blast to drive.A dream for sure, looks so good in that Imola Red as well.
Now for a silly question, @sonic6 said wish we got that over here. What is the difference from our local 330i to this one? what does ZHP stand for and is that the "difference" between our EU models received vs this one?
Edit - ok nevermind me...I did a quick search and it revealed the following:
"The E46 330i ZHP only made 10 more horsepower and 8 more lb-ft of torque than the standard 330i, bumping power up to 235 horsepower and 222 lb-ft. However, the character of the powertrain did change slightly, as the extra power came from hotter cams, which made its redline 300 rpm higher. Its shorter final drive also made it feel a bit zippier than a normal E46. That was also paired with a six-speed manual, instead of a five-speed.
BMW mostly changed the ZHP’s suspension and chassis components, to give it sharper steering and handling. It had new control arm bushings, slightly firmer suspension, 18 in wheels, and slightly revised steering. It was really just a warmed over 330i but nothing too serious. However, those minor tweaks did make the E46 330i feel better than the standard car.
There’s no denying that the ZHP was the best looking E46. It might have even been better looking than the M3. Its unique bumpers and wheels made it an absolutely gorgeous sport sedan and its interior was aided by an Alcantara steering wheel, headliner, and shift boot. So it felt more special inside, too."
I never knew we got the updated cams with higher redline with the Mtech2 package. Very interesting!Their zhp package is very close to the mtech2 package we got. Minor differences, like the wheels. The 2004 mtech2 got the same gearbox, suspension and I dare say engine upgrades. I say engine, because the cluster in the 2004 also shows the higher redline.

Thanks! Haha yeah Kia applied to 8 different banks and only one came back with that offer. I did manage to refinance the car a few months back at a more civilized 7%, which is currently pretty normal for the USA.Christ that rate is eye watering! 17% in dollars, you need to find a new banker! Haha
The E46 looks stunning though. Keep it well!
Look at what was just put up for auction: https://carsandbids.com/auctions/3znav72N/2010-bmw-550iThis is the ultimate E46! Well chosen.
The USA has the nicest selection of cars and the best aftermarket support. Something like a F10 535i 6 speed seems like a very nice daily...
Oh I thought the updated cams enabled the higher red-lineno we dont have updated cams
A car that I wish we got in SA 😔. Yes we got the 325ci but the b25 has nothing on the b30.
the ZHP had updated cams but im saying as far as I know ours was stock. Did ours rev higher for Mtech2? I didn't k now about that. maybe the cluster was just changedOh I thought the updated cams enabled the higher red-line

Yes, and that combined with the Carfax reports you get here you can really rest assured when buying a car online.Amazing!
Love the amount of detail in the 100s of pics per ad on almost every ad on the site - one can buy a car without going to view it.
Haha that is indeed the case! I sometimes forget that 180,000 miles is just under 300,000km, and then I panic just a little bit before thinking of the file filled with receipts at home. That is one beautiful car!!!
Congrats on the purchase. Wish you many happy miles (finally got can say miles about a car that counts in actual miles 😂).
Haha you get used to it fairly quickly. But after a year I do still sometimes walk to the passenger door to get in.Also meant to ask, what's it like driving a left hand drive car? Does it take a long while to adapt or does it become second nature after a short while?
Like, do you find yourself opening the driver's door by mistake instead of going for 3rd gear?
hijacking this thread, meneer, pics of that RR Vogue on AIR soon please.the ZHP had updated cams but im saying as far as I know ours was stock. Did ours rev higher for Mtech2? I didn't k now about that. maybe the cluster was just changed
