Car looks awesome man, may I ask where did you get the boot lip?

It was supplied and fitted by Autotorque. Family business run in plumstead. They used a 5d carbon wrap on it as well. It came out very nice imo.
Check out their instagram feed. Its updated regularly with the cars they work on.

Small Update on the 320d:

Ive had a bit of a disappointing experience...

So after I had the front brake pads removed and the front lower control arm bushes replaced I decided to have a wheel alignment done at Supa Quick in Durban Road Bellville. The place was very busy and the sales guy told me that Dunlop next door was empty and I'd get it done much quicker there. So i agreed and took the the car next door where the alignment was done.

The next day while driving on the highway I noticed the steering wheel was notably off centre to the left :rage: I was so p****doff with this. So I took it to tyger wheel and tyre to have it redone.... now the steering wheel is ever so slightly off centre to the right :hammerhead:

They also told me that I need to replace the rear control arm bushes as they could not align the rear left wheel properly and will cause wear on the inside of the tyre. Can a worn control bushing really throw out the alignment?

Does this make sense to you guys?? I had a full quality check done on the car 1 month ago and was basically given a thumbs up on the condition of the car.

Update time.

Been a while since I last updated this thread.
I thought it would be a good time now since I had a great experience recently.

On 21st November I had the aircon re-gased at Autotron in Bellville. They were very professional and the aircon is blowing ice cold after the visit to them. They did a quick inspection of my car and noted that the oil level, power steering fluid level and coolant level was low and there was a engine pulley bearing noise. This was alarming as i just serviced the car 3 months ago and everything was fine.

After checking myself for the noise I could notice a faint "Tsh tsh tsh tsh" sound. I then contacted Garage 808 where I did the service and they said I could come in so Colin could have a look. He went over everything thoroughly and showed me that everything except the coolant level was normal. He then topped it up for free and explained the pulley noise was actually the serpentine belt but was nothing major as the condition was basically new. He then sprayed it with silicone spray and the noise was near silent again.

I have to say Colin from Garage 808 is a brilliant guy. Extremely knowledgeable about BMW's and trustworthy. I'd trust him with all my BMW's in future and would recommend them to anyone. Adele is also super efficient and responds to emails and queries very fast.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride. Software and downpipe really changes the car. You won't want to stop driving it. Any chance I get to take it for a drive I go. The only problem is that someone always wants to smash into me either the taxis or some idiot driver.

Hi, where did you get your car tuned? How much is the gains and which tune is it?

Your car is looking good

:bravo:

I've also battled to find c/f corner splitters locally .

I've also struggled to find proper splitters. I've got a pair on order from wish.com. Description says its made of proper carbon fibre but we'll see when it arrives. I only paid R1600 for them :smilebounce: I just hope its acceptable quality.

Supposed to arrive early Jan. Will post pics when it does.

Did you try Jimmy from Carbon Sport? Had my CF splitters couriered from Jhb, was very happy with them. Paid around R2.2k, IIRC..

Hi Guys

Small update time :)

8 Months into 320d ownership and my love for this car is growing. What a blend of power and economy. Got my best ever mileage off a tank last month.... 849km before the light came on :praise: still had 107km left to run on OBC. No issues have come up recently and the car is still running smooth. My next service will definitely include some software and decat.

I took the car last week to have the gearbox service done at ZF in stikland and received great service and advice from Ruan. He even gave me a raincheck on the service special that from Jan so I still paid 3k to hae it done. I wouldnt say the difference is night and day but earchanges are definitely smoother especially after the adaptation reset. Before 1st to 2nd was a bit jerky but now its silky smooth.

Love it when I have a clean car :smilebounce:

On a sad note my rear spoiler started lifting off the boot because I cheaped out and wrapped a black spoiler in a carbon wrap which has let go of the spoiler and the boot surface. So I ordered a performance carbon spoiler from auto Xcessorise and the quality is 10/10. I was seriously impressed. Cant wait to have it fitted.

I also went to langebaan for a holiday last month accompanied by my cousin who just got his hybrid turbo'd 135i. I averaged 5.8l/100km over the 330km trip whereas he did 12 which I thought was quite decent for a modded 135i. I was more shocked by my consumption as I had 5 adults in the car with the aircon on all the way and a boot fully loaded.

Got some awesome pics of the two cars on the way

Very nice and sexy car, I am seriously jealous! :smilebounce:

Glad you are enjoying her. From test driving a few cars while I shop, I can say for certain that a downpipe and good software (RK Motion) makes quite a big difference.

The Poco's camera is pretty decent too! Great phone as well

Thanks man. The car is still missing some carbon mirror covers atm :smilebounce:

I will definitely use twt canal next time i have wheel alignment done. I acrually forgot theres a twt there. I was considering going to the one at n1 city next since Its very convenient to have the mall so close by to keep yourself busy while they work on the car.
