Howsit Guys,
So after owning a Audi 8p A3 1.8 TFSI Sportback, for the whole long period of 3 MONTHS I had an opportunity at a 2009 Golf 5 GTI DSG with 60 000 KMs on it.
Its Steel Grey (X6) which is my favorite Golf 5 colour. The only bummer is it doesn't have xenon lights, but from what I hear it is a easier retrofit than the more modern VWs.
The car is in excellent condition, the leather still has the "Matte" finish to it, and the rear seats really looks like no one has ever sat there. The only visible wear in the interior is the one bolster closest to the driver do has the top layer worn off (Hopefully I can refurb it some how) and curb rash on two of the 18" rims... Went for a test drive on the 25th of November and took delivery on the 9th of December.
Some quick pics snapped up on the day I went for test drive:
Some pics on the day I took delivery:
Soon to do's:
I Still have my S3 Intercooler I want to install.
I have sourced some OEM xenon headlights so will be installing them in December, must just purchase the harness adapter from Vag-Tec (10-12 pin)
Going to fit a OEM RCD330 Plus radio, to give the cabin a "facelift" (As far as I am aware any revision can-bus after "K" will stop battery drain issues, luckily I have rev "Q")
LED Number plate lights
Might do DP at a bit of a later stage
Cam follower replacement as a precaution
And maybe the DV as well with the later revision
And maybe a flat panel filter replacement or full intake.
And first mod which I couldn't resist, Full LED interior lights supplied by JAB Sport
