One of the rims had some slight curb rash that bothered me so I thought I'd refurb them all a bit. I like the silver on a black car but I thought I'd try something else to see if I like it. (I got other future plans that I hope will work well with this combo).
I didn't want to go completely black as I'm not such a fan because you loose a lot of detail of the wheel in my opinion. So I went with this:

I will get a proper picture in the sun where it doesn't look so dark.

This was a DIY job so "normal" spray paint was used. I've used normal spray paint before and it works great!
Powdercoat is harder and more resistant to damage yes, but spray paint works quite well.
Product used was Sprayon Castiron metallic spray paint.

Would you mind sharing the process you followed?
Ive sprayed motorbike rims in the past, and even tho I followed the following process it still started peeling after a few months.
Degrease > Wash > Sand with light grid sand paper > Apply Primer > sand again > apply several layers of spray paint in light, even coats, allowing proper time to dry.
