Hi,

Some of you might know, I sadly traded in my M2 Comp for an AMG GT R.
I know this is a BM forum, but some forum members asked me to post some pics and thoughts of the AMG GT R.
Here are some pics in the meantime and I will post a review, thoughts and more pics.

Ok, so here goes.
I will break up the review into different sections, spec, inside review , outside review, test drive review and my overall impressions and final comments.

The spec

The colour of the car is called "Green Hell Magno" which is the launch colour of the car, as its nic name is the "Beast of the Green Hell" with reference to the Nurburging and its awesome time for a rear-wheel-drive car at that german track that all manufactures try to best, it posted an incredible time for rear-wheel drive mid-engine sports car of around 7:11, which was faster at the time than a Ferrari 488, or Porsche GT3 RS etc...

Ever since it was out, I always wanted the AMG GT R, I just loved the look and performance specs of it, and the craziness of it all for Mercedes to even create a car such as this.

The AMG GTR is a performance bargin compared to other cars in the segment it is in and comes with a trick coil-over suspension, roll cage, bucket seats, a racing harness for driver and passenger, fire extingisher, rear-wheel steering, active aero to increase downforce, titanium exhaust (4x exhaust pipes, 2 in middle and 2 at the side for aero and downforce management, lots of carbon fiber (carbon roof, carbon ceramic breaks front and rear, carbon prop-shaft/tunnel, carbon bracing under-neath the car to increase torsional stiffness, carbon fenders, carbo side-skirts, carbon side mirrors, carbon boot spoiler, carbon rear diffuser, carbon front splitter), and that's just on the outside, it comes with loads of carbon bits and Alcantara on the inside as well.

It really is a race car for the road, and a very special one at that, made by the best Formula 1 team in the world right now.

I loved my M2 Comp. and it still is a fantastic car in its own right but I don't think BMW have anything in their stable right now to match the GT R, not the old M4 GTS/DTM, or their M8, it really is in a league of its own.

Super jealous. Love this cab. The Hulk.
