No news to report other than regularly looking at E3 Turbo pricing and for suitable specs

Rand for rand it has probably been the best value I've gotten out of a car in 10 years. My wife loves it (which is all that matters in the end) especially after wireless AA/Carplay added. I find myself using it more often than not, more so to avoid the school run and mall parking lot dings/dents.
So far it has basically 'paid for itself' as far as I'm concerned. We would have paid in the 'value' of the Porsche by now if continuing with the C200 or trading into a similar vehicle. I am hoping my Mrs does get tempted into a GTS or Turbo because I'd do an overlanding build with it.
The only 'downside' is the fuel economy which isn't great on short runs, but not a biggie for me and the VR6 noise makes up for it. I would love to do an exhaust/decat on it because it really is a lovely sound - a few too many projects in the way of that though. It has eaten up many dirt and gravel roads and been rendered filthy by my beagle and dachshund a good few times which was the intention. I am actually (believe it or not) almost due for another service on it! I had a very different impression of these before having one. I was tempted (naturally) to change the rims, but that is also some project for the distant future (if ever) - maybe with the next tyre change. I can see why every SUV around here that isn't a Diesel or M BMW is a Cayenne/Macan. I don't know how Porsche supports so many with only a few dealerships
The thing I personally like a lot is the way it is put together which is of good quality (even if it is based on VW underpinnings) but also not very complicated as far as things like this go. Eg: I was thinking I'd need to change out the high/low/sport buttons, but I was able to strip it apart, clean it well and lubricate the necessary bits without need for special tools or watching videos. The PCB/switches etc also look like they would be easy for me to DIY repair in future replacing surface mounted components or reflowing joints rather than replacing entire units at great cost. With my skills I wouldn't dream of doing this with eg: a BMW control unit or module of any kind that I've come across. Rinse and repeat for working on the audio system (granted I didn't have the optical/Bose system). The engine bay (in V6 form anyway) is easy to navigate and it is generally very 'repairable' (see headlight vid below)... probably more so than Hondas and BMWs I've owned over the years - there is a lot to love about the Cayenne LOL.
Between Cafe 9 and Porsche I also have had nothing but good things to say - somehow (as with BMW) parts are often cheaper at Porsche than they are at Goldwagen... even for things like bootlid shocks where you'd think the parts sharing between the Q7 and VW would make Goldwagen much cheaper. It wouldn't surprise me if it was cheaper for Touareg and Q7 owners to source some parts from Porsche instead of Audi/VW/GW

For the cars I've had so far, it seems GWs model counts on you not checking with a dealership on pricing 🤷‍♂️ .
