Kev's Daily Driver E46 M3

Decided to start my thread because this is my daily driver and i would like to feedback to the ups and downs if any on driving a M E46 every day.

Things to do,

Diff oil change
Gearbox oil change
Suspension ( Need to do something about it, 19's lowered cant even pull into the parking lot at work without scratching something)
Service (Coming up in the near future)
Interior replacements or refurb.

Details on the car

E46 M3 - Interlagos Blue 2002 bought on 167000ish km's Manual.
Running 19's with a lowered unknown kit... Springs are Red in color.

Fuel consumption so far, 13.5 robot to robot can get her down to 9.0 on the highway with just my big toe on the pedal.

As i go along i will post my progress and the costs involved running this car as daily driver.

Awesome car!! Congrats on getting it!
I'd do the service sooner rather than later, you want to make sure you're running the correct oil in this motor. :coolShake:
Also, and I know guys are carrying on about it, but it's important, check on the history of the car to see if the bearings have been done, if you can't find any evidence of it having been done, it's definitely something I would look at doing also sooner rather than later.

Contacted Uncle J, bearing was done on 30000km's on the recall. Something is should visit again? Any ideas on the cost?

At 160k yes for sure bearings need revisiting sooner than later. I've got he same issue of lowered suspension and sitting on 19s, got use to it, but will probably get oem springs later. Mine is also used as a daily lil more economical tho, sitting on 10.8/100km driving urban. Did my diff oil, after developing a whine, it's gone now.

Would love the 10.8!! Dammit maybe because i am still loving the pull so i maybe riding a bit harder now.

Chatted to Nikhil today about the oils and replacements, Karsh also gave me heads up on whats best to run on these cars.

Small update,

Ran the first full tank 550Km that running 90% traffic to town and 10% highway driving.

Service kit shopping tomorrow...

Filters
Oil - 10w60 LuiqiMoli
New plugs

So far the 19's been taking a beating, manholes and the state of our roads :smashScreen:

Looking to either raise back to normal ride height or get a set of 18's to drive on. The search and research continues.
