We had this BMW F34 320d GT come in a few weeks back for a full major service. This particular vehicle is used as an Uber Black ride and is one of a fleet of 320d’s we look after for a long-time, loyal customer who owns several.
He arranged for the driver to bring the car through to us, and since we had already sourced all the required parts in advance, we got started the moment it arrived.

🧼
Prep & Engine Bay Cleanup
The engine bay was extremely dusty — not surprising considering these cars rack up high mileage daily. We gave it a thorough blow-out with compressed air to remove as much dirt and sand as possible before even thinking about cracking anything open.

🛠️ Major Service Breakdown
🔸 Engine Flush:
We added Motul Engine Flush to help break down built-up grime, especially important as this vehicle runs 15,000–20,000km service intervals. Let it idle as per spec to allow proper cleaning.

🔸 Oil Change:
  • Raised the car and drained the oil completely
  • While draining, we inspected the undercarriage, suspension, drivetrain, and exhaust – all in good condition
  • Fitted a new crush washer, refitted the drain plug
  • Replaced the fuel filter with a new Bosch unit
  • Lowered the car and removed the oil filter carefully to avoid spillage
  • Cleaned the oil filter cap thoroughly
  • Wiped out the oil filter housing to extract as much old oil as possible
  • Installed a new oil filter + O-ring, torqued the cap to 25Nm
  • Topped up with Motul 8100 5W40 premium oil
  • Removed the old Air Filter, cleaned the interior of the airbox and fitted a fresh new one.
🔸 Final Touches Under the Hood:
  • Quick wipe down of the engine bay plastics to give it that MMS finish — even though it’s a daily Uber, we treat it like any enthusiast's car!

🌬️ Cabin Air Filter & Interior
  • Removed a poorly installed, squashed pollen filter (fitted by someone else in the past)
  • Replaced it with a fresh MANN Activated Charcoal Cabin Filter
  • Popped in one of our MMS-branded air fresheners to restore a clean, fresh interior smell

💻 Diagnostics & Reset
  • Ran diagnostics, cleared all old fault codes
  • Reset the CBS oil service reminder
  • Final checks confirmed everything was running smoothly

The driver returned to pick up the car and was off straight to collect his next Uber client — clean, quiet, and fresh again. Another happy customer, another BMW diesel looked after properly.
