So terms of the take back agreement was that i take another car from them. Not sure if it was luck or what but as i was there a customer came in with an F80 30 Jahre edition that he traded in on a new M5. Caught my eye. Took the Vin had it properly checked and all came back clean.

So yeah got a decent deal on the f80 which is a car that i always wanted to own but never got to. Will use it for a while. Maybe ill enjoy it and keep it longer.

What i took out of this, pay these guys that do a full background check on a car you are considering buying. regardless if on motorplan or not. I used Dre Automotive and he charged R699 for the f80 checks. R699 is nothing compared to what you might lose in the long run.
Congratulations bro, awesome choice.
Many happy and safe miles.

Maybe people should services like view4u? Someone I know wrapped his car around a street pole, it was 1 week old the car, s repaired it. He drove it for 2 years and sold it back to bmw.

We watched bmw put it up for sale with no mention of the accident.

How did I know the car was in an accident? The gaps didn’t align and the owner came out with the truth. Only noticed it during a breakfast run we did together.

Another mate got his car crashed into. Messed up his M car (also new car). Car was repaired and sold as if low mileage AT BMW again.

Let alone tuned cars. I can’t count how many people tell me bmw doesn’t accept and resell tuned cars and yet, my mates and I have seen lots of cars that had turbo kits, pushing big power converted back to stock and sold by BMW.

Heck if I wanted temp disks to mess around with I can get one from BMW.

Its delusion from most to think buying from bmw is some guarantee. That view4u page has a couple of examples of customers from bmw having issues with their cars relating to them being accident damaged.

Do your due diligence when buying from anywhere, not just Webuycars.

My mates car didn’t sit at the dealer for long (the one that wrapped around a pole). I guarantee the new owner never checked the gaps because “it’s sold at BMW”.

Agree with you. There is zero dealership QC or 'duty-of-care' if you want to call it that. Multipoint inspection means nothing. I nearly bought a Subaru with a whole wrong engine that was "6 star approved" back in the day LOL

Trust me, I have seen many. Also with "options" that are not real or counterfeit ie: Akrapovic exhaust that is literally just aliexpress tips (at BMW as well LMFAO).

View4You and these 'services' that have sprung up are their own kind of disease though. The secondary infection latching on to the initial terminal illness. The drama farming and outright dumb comments sometimes have put me off, and initially I quite liked the stuff they were doing and putting out. The owner can't seem to take his foot out of his mouth. I suppose as long as enough people trust and book with them what I think really makes no difference at the end of the day.

There are also workshops that make mountains out of molehills in order for customers to bring their cars there to immediately spend 50-100K on "preventative work" for "issues" with "These cars" that are perfectly reliable if they have not been owned by complete morons before.

"90% of cars we see" LMFAO these guys only see a fraction of cars and of the '100%' of cars they see 100% of them couldn't afford to send it to the dealer to say "just fix this" so ignored the problem. Lets start there with the segmentation... Rinse and repeat for people who flashed crazy maps onto their cars in their driveways, broke them and then told the world and workshop their 'stock' car failed.

"these cars" is the "they say" that our parents used to talk about before they let some absolute horseshit out into the universe. People also think that doing research is watching youtubers making drama for views or reading forum posts from the (often tiny) subset of people with problems or (on the other end of things) watching literal ads, loosely disguised as people.

Sorry about the circumstances Karsh, I can only how you feel. I remember the day you got it and how excited you really were about it.

Such an awesome spec though, BSM with Sakhir orange interior is the dream.

But on the positive, atleast they took the car back and in turn you got something really awesome. F80 M3 30 Jahre is an amazing car. Also contemplated an F80 a few times until I realised my love for B58 is too strong.

Looking forward to the new thread, can't wait to see it. That colour is to die for

Another positive is you and Rish are twinning with F8Xs now👀
