Jeff's BMW E39 M5 - Taming 323kw - Detail
With the Canal Walk Motor Show, we were quite pushed for time and had resorted to detailing at night in order to push through enough cars.
Jeff's M5 was one of these cars, and boy was I nervous about this car.
Having known the car well, I knew what to expect and I knew it would take a lot of work to get this car prepped for the Motor Show.
Here the M5 is on arrival, already you may see what I am talking about:
Because of the work involved, and to save time I had some help come through in the form of a Jeanre also known as Psymon69 on the forum.
We started with a very thorough wash, scrubbing the mag wheels and paintwork before drying and preparing for polishing.
With the car dry we inspected the paintwork:
I decided to go with a firm polishing pad and Chemical Guys Pro Cut 2 in order to get quite a decent cut without leaving too much micro-marring which was followed with a pass of Nano Polish by Chemical Guys to refine and enrich the Imola Red Paint.
At this point some distraction arrived in the form of Freerider and his brother and of course, chaos ensued.
Just to give an example of the correction we were achieving:
With the correction complete the car was re-washed, glazed and waxed as well as final preparations made to the interior and exterior trim.
Now, usually the afters are something I love but with the details being at night after photo's were a little difficult.
Then to make things worse, my photo's at the mall were rather pathetic and then Max, Philip and others decided to be all skilled and voila, copy paste epic after shots! :joy:
I think the results were superb, the colour popped under the lighting at the show and the car attracted a huge amount of attention. :joy:

I think Jeff was happy. :roflol:
