Sweet,

How's that Suzuki?

I'm looking to replace my milk & bread run car. On paper it offers good value fun for the same price as a garden varity Polo.

- Real life consumption?
- Driving Dynamics?
- Dealer support?
- Serviceing costs?

Its really an awesome car!!!

Real life consumption?

My wife travels about 34km each way everyday and she is a speed freak aswell, so she does 160-180 kph on the freeway and averages around 7.5l/100km...worst we ever got with the car was 9.1l/100km and that was tramping it 200kph from here to dbn when we first got the car...

Driving Dynamics?

Its a fantastic car to drive. Its very driver involving and it sticks to the road. I do track days in my Megane RS and I can safely say that there are times that the Swift feels faster ans sticks better to the tar than my Meg. In fact there is a few corners by my house where my wife and I regularly floor it around and she starts pulling away as I bounce my @ss a little on the bend the swift just grips like its on rails....

But remember that handling comes at a price, and the price you pay here is a harder than normal but not uncomfortable ride.

Dealer support? & Serviceing costs?

The car came with a 60000km Service plan and a 100000km/3yr warranty....We had no issues with the car to date (touch wood) and everything was covered by them.

Secondly, the Swift Sport actually has a Toyota engine which is believed to be part of the 4AGE family dubbed the M16A in the Swift. The parts are therefore toyota parts and shouldnt be too expensive to maintain later on, however I do believe it has some special spark plugs in which cost close to R800 each and need to be replaced every 90 000km....

The car that Im talking about here is the 2010 Spec that came in as a Limited Edition. We now have the new 2012 Spec that came in.. Tere are big differences between the two...

The older model was more of a Drivers car compared to the new model...

Old model only came in 2 door with Sports(Recaro type bucket) seats and 17" Mags with ultra low profile tyres....

New model only comes in 4 door with normal sport seat (not Recaro type buckets) and now has 16" Mags with higher profile tyres....
