Got my Baby Back

Some of you might remember that when I got my e46 330D there were quite a few dents and scratches on the car.

I visited a few shops and found Galliga Autobody on Richards Drive in Midrand. They gave me a very competitive quotation as well as a walkthrough their operation. Very professional and well run.

I gave them my car last week Wednesday. They repaired all the major scratches and dents on the car and now she is looking sweet.

below are before and afters.

They did a few bad scratches and a bad dent on the passenger side as well. I will take a few more pics and update this post later on.

In my humble opinion, they did a superb job of matching the paint colour. I cant really notice the colour difference in the sunlight, though the more experienced eye might be able to.

I would definitely recommend Galliga Autobody in Midrand. Great prices, Great quality of work and great people. They did indicate that if I should find any problems with their workmanship that I should bring the car back and they will rectify their mistakes. Truly good customer service.

P.S. This was a cash deal. a low value cash deal yet they treated me as though I was a million rand job client.

Thanks guys.

@Moranor - Sorry bro. forgot to close the door. will do so when I take the next batch of photos.

@Jakkals - Thanks

@MSM - Thanks bro. was a pleasure meeting you and im sure you remember how kak the car looked with all them dents and scratches.

only thing outstanding is repainting the bonnet. the two front fenders and front bumper were completely resprayed, but I didnt have the extra R1k to paint the bonnet. it has some sandblasting on it, so I will get it back to Galliga soon.

Looks like a they've done a good job ion the fender :thumb:

Maybe it's just me, but looking at the last pick it looks like there is a small dent on the door below the mirror? Maybe it's just the pick?

@Nic - Good spot. There is a dent on the door just below the mirror. They said that they dont do PDR and would have to get someone in to do it at an additional charge. So i told them not to worry cos I didnt have the money for it. I will go to a dent doctor.... (paging Doctor Zaleonard) and get it done.

@Sankekur - Another good spot. I noticed that this morning and called them up. They said that I should bring the car around and they will sort it out. quick enough fix. I could do it myslef but seeing as theyre 3km from where I live, its a small thing. Theyve been pretty good to me.

@King - Thanks.

This was an expense I didnt really have the money for, however I couldnt bear driving the car with all them dents. It appeared as though I didnt care about my car, which is definitely not the case.

LOL! yes the indicator is upside down... otherwise great. Titansilber is a very difficult colour to reproduce - your panelbeater is well good.

@Ricky - Thanks. I was also very worried about matching the colour but these guys seem to have done a superb job with the colour. they will sort the side markers out either today or tomorrow.

@Bavarian - Definitely give them a chance. They did a great job on my car. When you go there, Speak to Clifford Hage. He is the owner and the person I dealt with. Great guy and a thorough car nut (he likes BMW's alot also). Tell him that Veru (thats me) referred you cos he wont know who XMAX is.

Believe it or not, Silver is one of the hardest colors to do properly. That looks like a very decent job there. :praise:
