Because they 1series/Z4 (et47 and et50) offset you will need at least a 25mm spacer. Im using H&R 12mm spacers all round at the moment.

It has crossed my mind more than once though seeing as I have a S54 wiring harness lying here.

This M54B25 isn't a bad motor when coupled to a 6spd and 3.62LSD, it will stay for now until I need to do major work to it and then 3.0lt internals swap.
