Of all the wheels you have had on the touring, i like these the most.

Just needs a spacer and it would look perfect.

BTW - what happened to the csl reps you had?

BBS + H&R = AWESOME!

Swapped on the style 108's yesterday to try out the new H&R 12mm spacers and bolts so I took some pics this morning on the way back from my dogs usual friday "Walkies" to Jackson Dam.

As I said on page 8 already. These are my favorite wheels for your car and only needed the spacers to look spot-on:thumbs:
:inlove::inlove::inlove:

Should be easy to clean as well

This time I fitted some stubby rubber valves as I usually use the steel ones however I have had 1 or 2 leaking issues with steel valves in the past. These stubby ones are alot shorter and more stealthy. You can see the std size one next to the stubby, unfortunately tyre fitment centres don't stock these, I got mine from Patch Tech in Alberton North. Got me a 17mm wheel protective socket too.

Some time back when I did the M3 diff conversion there were a few small items I needed to get, well I got the bits I need and time to fit them.
Firstly, the propshaft CV I had temporarily fitted to the M3 propshaft was a 330i one and didn't have range the M3 one has so the propshaft felt a slight bit too long, at the time I didn't have the moola to fork out on the M3 CV joint and ran the 330i one instead. I had a very slight vibration on take off only under 1500rpms in 1st gear. Now that I purchased a new M3 cv its time to fit.

Because of the design difference in the 2 different CVs the 330i one had chucked its grease. Here is after the first pass to get most of the muck off. Notice the new adjustable camber control arms I just fitted.

Bolts spent overnight in prepsol, they were quite filthy. Notice the new saddles.

Brakes still looking good.

Old 330i CV vs New M3 CV.

M3 ones has big balls! Gasket type is different too, new M3 one has been ordered and will collect tomorrow morning.

Clean bolts and new saddles in place.

2nd pass, also fitted the missing heat shield.

Incase you guys are wondering, I changed out the diff to test the one that came out the SMG M3 I parted out. It unfortunately has a chip in the finned cover.

Nice work as usual.

Can one replace a CV on a propshaft without re balancing?
I believe you can. But it must be done or aligned in the same way. When I had my prop shortened the cv boot was torn. I asked if I could find a replacement could I put it on without balancing the guy said I could but it must be put back with the same alignment. Or something along those lines.

Nice work gizmo, what would you estimate the cost of a m3 diff retrofit? Parts only.

That would be for changing out the centre bearing.
R10k-R15k in parts only for m3 diff swap.

so minimum parts list is?

M3 Subframe
M3 Differential
M3 Sway Bar
M3 Driveshaft CV
M3 Halfshafts
Don't forget M3 trailing arms with discs and calipers.

Diff and subframe bushes also differ don't they?
M3 diff has 2 bushes on the rear finned cover and one bush in the front of the subframe for the 3rd diff mount.
