Good Day gents...

More updates.....lol.

The least modified portion of my car, has definately been the interior...it was now time to change that.

Thus far the interior has only seen, new steering wheel , paddles, carpets and the m3 cluster with carbon trim on the cluster.

So my CCC navigation was another thing that I wanted changed for quite some time. A forum member had a system up for sale so i grabbed it. Sold to the dash and kept the parts I needed and sent them to Gert to begin testing etc.

After the Rennzport Dyno day, the car was dropped off at Gert OBDworx for him to work his magic and do the install and coding etc. All that left if for me to purchase a new USB cable to route to the Cubby so i can access the built in Hard drive and Ive ordered a new ring for the center console i drive as the chrome was chipped off in a few spots.

Install was completed in August, and I did recently went on holiday with the car...what a pleasure using the CiC nav. The screen resolution and look is also a nice touch and updates the look and feel of the interior.

Thanks for reading. Heres some pics of the parts.

Continuing with the interior refresh...

After completing the Nav install with Gert, we noticed the Alcantara center console was catching the I drive console and allowing it to seat properly. I had a spare set of trims already in my possession so decided to do a colour change. The carbon interiors trims and piano black have always been firm favourites, but the cost to get them dipped in carbon and proper carbon was just too high.

I ended up going with the piano black with a small twist. I also removed the center console trimmings of the radio, air con and the gearlever surround and gearknob trim.

Once they came back, as with all polishing done by panel beaters, it was done like crap.
Moe from Crazy rides was asked to work his magic on them, and zaahier from rennzport provided me with some left over GTECH C1 to nano coat the trims.

Here some before and after pics of the paint correction of the trims.

Hoping to have them installed by the weekend.

I don’t see many good custom interior changes on E90s (maybe I’m looking in the wrong place). I am looking forward to seeing how this pans out after it is fitted.

Firi, do you think what you did to your E90 headlights (black on the interior) would work on F30 head lights as well? I've ready about using an oven to melt the adheasive you one can open them up. But I worry about reducing vis at night, etc.

Thanks guys.

My visibility hasn't been affected in the least bit due to projectors/xenons.

If you have halogens headlights, then yes it will be affected.
