diy E46 320d Service Parts - Fuel Filters

Hi, all

What's the difference between these two fuel filters? And are both needed when doing a fuel filter change?

I need to do a major service on my E46 320d 2002 and trying to scope out what the parts would cost, but not sure if I need both or only the second one.

The 2nd filter is for a pre-lci e46 320d ,the first filter is for the LCI 320d like yours.
