E36 / E46 - Confused?

I spotted this tonight here in Mauritius and just had to take a pic. I know I like the idea but maybe it wasn't that well executed .. what do you think?

I was very surprised to see quite a bit of pimped out BM's here and saw a hot X6 35i raise:
