Bugger...
I have an account with Schmiedmann that could make royalty blush:biglol:. I tend to import 90% of my BMW stuff through them... it ends up being at least 30% cheaper...:praise:
Cheers

Lol,well if you feel the need,I need a fuel tank for an E24 635csi!!:roflol:

I may have a spare... let me check the workshop stock... I broke a 635csi about 18 months ago because it had been in such a smack the monocoque was economically unsalvageable...

PM me if you are interested.
Cheers
Nick

PM sent.... And no I did not find a clean set. What we found was a very bad fibre kit that will take years of rework...;-)

Nah have not forgotten... The progress on the e28 is glacial at the moment. There's a 635csi that is taking priority. We are right in the middle of a full respray, engine swap and custom bumper build on it.

We have put most of the parts back into the e28 and worked out what's missing and are now tracking parts. If all goes well I will have the interior out in the next 2-3 weeks and my trimmer can get going on that.

Later
Nick

I need to get mine going soon. Went to the concours day on Sunday, damn there were some fine looking 635's there.

Saw an M635csi, was absolutely stunning. Getting me motivated again. But I'll have a chat to you when I see you.

Here's a quick update on the e28 project.
One of the really bad parts of owning custom shop is that your stuff always ends up at the back of the queue when it comes to getting stuff done. Towards the end of last year the trim shop had a few days available and i forced the interior of the e28 into the slot.

The original interior on this was was very eighties and not in a good way. There was a mix-match of carpets, colours and materials everywhere. We ripped it all out and started afresh.

We decided to go with a black leather and alcantara theme with white accent stiching throughout the entire car. Very single panel has been recovered, including the dashboard and it is now slowly coming together.

Here are some progress pics that show the new carpet installed, some random recovered parts, the roof lining and head console in lovely alcantara and the b-pillar covers also in alcantara. Finally there is a picture of the absolutely wonderful alcantara covered M-tech 11 Steering wheel. I am particularly happy with the tucked seams on the steering wheel, this is what i expect from my team!

Once we have installed it all I will post a complete set of picks showing off all this beautiful custom work.
