There was no Dyno yesterday. Was cancelled. Mo had an emergency meeting down in Durban and cancelled at the last minute on Wednesday night.

We are dyno and tuning the car on Monday.


That being said, the car is still running stock injectors and boosting only 0.1 bar on the charger, but hell it is still a different car.

Had a run with a Frozen M3 the other day, he could not pull away from me through first, 2nd or 3rd gear... Only at the top of third he started to edge away...

Needles to say, he was not happy. This was a rolling start...

I would like to test the car on a closed drag strip against him again once tuned.

To be fair, I was kind of hounding the M3 and waiting for him to get irritated with me and floor it... so, I anticipated him jamming his foot on the accelerator as I was sitting at 4000rpm in full boost waiting while he was still at low RPM. So I am guessing this is the only reason why I stayed with him... for now.

Like I said, he was not happy about it, couldn't understand how this e46 stayed with him for so long. Ha ha...

Anyway... Monday, new 440cc RC racing injectors with full unitronic tune! Stay put, I'll be bringing vids, write ups on the install, smalll hiccups and how to avoid them and Dyno charts.

Here is an update.

Just picked up my cousin from Golf in Germiston,

Some guy with his son in a 750i, 2007 model i'm guessing, bolted past. So at the next robot, I figured lets give him a run... didn't think he would race.

So, he pulls off, and he's ahead... but i slam into second gear, third.. suddenly, I'm ahead and gone...

I get onto the highway heading towards bedfordview and he tales me...
I figure he has a massive 4.8L V8... he'll eventually pass me... but that never happens, he stays with me... but soon the gap gets bigger and I leave him behind.

I am so confused. This Charger is not tuned, its not running proper injectors... how did I outrun a 270kw V8?? Sure the 7 series weighs a ton. But I am very confused. VERY VERY VERY... confused.

So far, with this setup, I have out run a e90 330i and a 7 series 750 on the highway...

Something strange going on here...

If you consider atmospheric pressure at the reef even if your car is boosting 0.0 it is essentially equalling out the losses that we feel when our NA cars feel at altitude. by attaching a turbo and equalizing the intake pressure (ie 0.0 bar) you have basically taken it down to the coast.

Around 18 to 20% increase in power can be expected from that, so lets assume another 7 to 10% increase is had from 0.2 bar (conservatively speaking) the car should already be making near on 30% more power than stock.

No boet its supercharged at 0.7 bar he will be making aproxx 50% more power than stock..

Guysw how far are you from dyno'ing? my arse is itching...
