Cape Town group is having a breakfast run to track you down, that way we can see the SC working first hand.

Its not finished.

The guy who was supposed to help us wasn't able to solder the ECU so we've had to now go through another method, using a dicktator management system to bypass the ecu and install the tune on there.

To be honest, Burgy, myself and Yosh are very disappointed in this guys (i can't name him at the moment) work ethic. Continually dropping us at the last minute and finally when we do get to see him, he shrugs us off to someone else.

I was very angry yesterday and controlled my self to not post here as I knew I would just flame. So... for the millionth time, we sit and wait.

Monday we get the dictator installed, tune the car, dyne... and HOPEFULLY, I get to have my supercharged BMW.

Burgy, thanks for the patience man, i'm sorry we keep getting messed about, am very disappointed in the SA car tuning industry. :sorry:

I think I would have hurt someone by now. Dude, you are patient!

At this rate, we may have some dyno results by page 50 of this thread - for me the most anticipated thread update on the forum.

Good luck. Looks like you need it with certain peeps you are dealing with.

Dictator....wow you really scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Don't be surprised if your engine explodes in less than a week!!!
The place where you are supposed to spend the most money you have decided to spend the least, very poor decision...:thumbdo:
Let me guess, you are going to need 3 of those POFS units to run the engine as one cannot do it alone...:nonono:

SR Speedworx does GIAC USA software and GIAC are who tune the VF system overseas i would think this would be the best solution because they should know the system and the car...

The problem with the car is that it is a 1999 model and doesnt have an OBD2 port.

We've got the software but The ecu has to be 'benchflashed'. Locally, there are very few guys that can do that properly.

fastcars in pinetown do alot of supercharger conversions maybe you should contact them...

if its just a matter of loading a tune maybe chiplogic is worth a try they did not say anything to me about there being a problem loading a tune on my car... and they have a branch in jhb

what do you mean the car does not have an OBDII port...

Late model E36's had already moved to OBDII since 94 onwards...

Do you not mean that it does not have a 16 pin port but the 20 port in the engine bay, if so.... come loan an adapter....

surely it cant just be a cable issue? if it is then the tuners you using must be giving you the run around to try get more money out of you...
