Been following this on socials, not sure if others have caught this video yet. (this is epi.2, in the first episode they do a walk around the car for purchase and set about repairs)

Rather elaborate and sophisticated. Honestly surprised that it would be so easy to rewrite a VIN via OBD. Hopefully we don't have to deal with this locally in the future !

You could do this (and accidentally erase the vin entirely from some control units) iirc with esys years ago for F series cars. Usually useful for retrofits and coding projects.

There’s a Type R theft video from the other dude in the vid as well. I watched it a while back. UK has a major theft and syndicate issue
