As part of our quest to bring you the best in paint protection, we have added the Xpel range of products to our arsenal of weapons against paint degradation.
What is Xpel?
Xpel is a paint protection film. There are several variants of it, all of which are carried by CCT. Xpel is currently the number 1 product of its kind in North America. The top of the range variant of Xpel packs a TEN year warranty against yellowing, cracking and delamination.
The different types:
- Xpel Ultimate: This protection film comes with a special clearcoat which enables it to self-heal from swirling and scratching (check the video at the top). It also comes with an impressive ten year warranty and is designed as a premium film coat to match a well-maintained paint surface.
- Xpel Xtreme: This film coat boasts the best in-class film clarity - you hardly notice the film once it has been applied and boasts a seven year warranty against yellowing, cracking and delamination. Designed to be the same as the Ultimate film, yet without the self-healing clearcoat.
- Xpel Armour: Designed for high-wear paint surfaces, both commercial and industrial, this film is made with heavy duty in mind. Think tailgates, kick panels, front ends on trucks, you name it and Armour can handle it. Armour is also 30% thicker than most conventional films.
We also stock the Xpel TracWrap which is a temporary film coat and is a welcome alternative to wrapping a car in painter's tape for a track day or similar. Xpel Stealth is designed for matte surfaces, or for those who'd like to transform their glossy paint to a matte finish, with added protection.
I wasn't a fan of paint protection film - but I'm now going to be getting some applied to my car in the near future! :coolShake:
