We will definitely be stopping at the Engen, like last time.

OK, I was thinking, if we want a real scenic route, we can take the R44 turn-off and instead of doing the immediate turn onto the R45, keep on the R44 and go via Stellenbosch on the R310 and over helshoogte pass for some nice bends before hitting the R45 again to Franshoek. I understand it is much more petrol (about 15km extra!) but lovely ride!

How many of you guys have BlackBerry's?

Cheap quick and easy way to communicate (away from the net)

I am trying to get my son to come with.

Might be running a bit late and only catch up in the run, as we have some of our friends from NC sleeping over with us. They are coming down for the funeral on Saturday.

Give me a guesstimate timeline please...

We meeting at 8:30 for 9am. We probably will leave latest 9:15. If you come later then try catch us on the N1 or meet us at the Engen-1-Stop, we'll be there for about 10 or 15mins.

I've got a Blackberry

Not a bad idea. But we'll then take the 1st turn-off for Franschoek instead of the 2nd one. Gonna change the route on the GPS

I have the route on google maps all planned out. This is my first run. Was just pointing out that on page one of the thread is was already decided we taking the scenic route. Or is yours a little different?
