SA Models also do not have the rear view mirror tilt feature, as per the above. Another feature I found was that the hazards go on after a "crash stop", i.e when the ABS was activated during braking.

My E46 coupe has the rear view tilt feature. Twist the "clown nose". Had the car for years before someone showed me that :)

Both out E46's have this.

My dads old 740i (1996) had a auto tilt function when it sensed that there was too much light shining inot it.

I think we're talking about different tilt here. I think initially the tilt referred to was the passenger side rear-view mirror tilting to see the pavement, when reversing...!? :dunno:

The tilt on the passenger rear view mirror is switched by the mirror adjuster knob. If the knob is turned to adjust the driver side, the passenger mirror will not tilt.

Door locks that engage when you go 16km/h (Dealer need to turn this feature on).

This is what technology does to someone...it makes you DUMBER than dirt. Since I got the BMW, I got quite used to the autolock as soon as you start driving. After more than two years of ownership I found out that you can also lock the car by...wait for it...simply pressing the button down manually.

auto tilt of mirrors does not work on all cars, correct if im worng the auto tilt feature only works
on more executive models, it doesnt work on my e46 but it works on a friend of mines e34(///M540i), i was so jealous when he showed me :cursin:

you can also reset the Oilservice and Inspection warnings using the dash on all models from 2002 not sure about pre-facelift.

Lol. Interesting. Also quite interesting that a lot of those easter eggs were fitted to the E32-E34 series.

AFAIK the two stage DSC button does this. One press the DSC (braking and power control) is disable. If you press and hold then your ABS is also disabled. and the ABS light comes on. Mine doesn't do the double switch thing. But I liek ABS.
