A few days ago, another Fanatics member reached out about his BMW E70 X5M. He mentioned he’d be travelling to Dubai for work soon and wanted to get the brake fluid replaced before he left. We agreed on a day and he dropped the vehicle off.

As always, we started by fitting protective covers to the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and footwell to keep everything clean. The X5M was then moved onto the lift, raised, and the wheels removed.

Took the vehicle for a short drive around the block to confirm the brakes were performing perfectly. The customer collected the car later, and after a quick follow-up, he confirmed he was very happy with the care his X5M received.

🔧 Brake Fluid Flush
- Opened the brake fluid reservoir and cleaned the plastic filter.
- Removed some of the old, dirty fluid.
- Filled the pressure bleeder with Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluid — chosen over regular DOT 4 for its higher boiling point and better performance at a samilar price 🔥.
- Bled all four corners until the old fluid and any trapped air were completely flushed out.
✅ Wrapping Up
- Checked and topped up the fluid level to the max line.
- Reinstalled the reservoir filter, cap and plastic cover.
- Refit the wheels.
- Ran diagnostics, cleared old stored codes, and reset the brake fluid service reminder.
