Thanks bud....so close to finishing.

Hit an issue gents....could anyone recommend a diesel specialist that could help...

I'm lean towards an airlock in the fuel line preventing me from starting her.

I've done the pre bleeding procedure multiple times, checked pressure on ista.... cranked her over multiple times and I manage to get the fuel rail pressure to shoot up past 230bar then she gives about 3x detonations (if I can give it a name) and while this happens the bar increases quick to 400bar then she drops to 160bar and continues to crank.

I've ordered a hand vacuum pump to pull out the air hopefully stuck somewhere while I do the bleeding procedure. But I'm pull out what hair I have left.

Any advice gents ?

Where could one check that the crank and cam sensors are in sync?

I'm pretty positive I got the timing right, by making sure cyclinder 1 is TDC, lock that in place, got the correct knotch head gasket, new head bolts and then when placing the cam cradle back, make sure they are locked and the markings between the cams are aligned.

Sooooo....been a while guys BUT all is good!

After my last post, took some time away from this project to give my mind some rest and reduce the hair loss. - Also had some work to do that required some travelling.

Anyway, got talking to a few guru's that was helping remotely to try diagnose the issue I was having.
Eventually started putting feelers out with a fellow fanatic friend.....and so came @Danny2 from DSC Motorsports to the rescue!

He went through all the codes I sent him and basically pin pointed it down to the HPFP. He then contacted @Alex@Madnessmotorsport to organize one. (Big Thanks Alex!), Danny then collected the pump and shot out to my place and offered up his precious time to help me fit it and get this motor going.....genuinely good hearted guy and loves his cars.

We fitted everything and both of us learnt alot in between.

Two cranks later and she fired right up!

From there we parted ways for now....but will be coming around soon for some sweet tuning and some tasteful mods.

I then continued to re-assemble everything, coolant pipes, front cradle, radiators, BIGGER intercooler hehe, New rear diff oil, new front discs and pads, etc

Bleed the coolant system, checked temps, once all had green lights, i began the diesel bleeding procedure. Then I noticed a slight leak on Injector 3 and 6, fortunately injector 3 just needed a little tightening but injector 6 i had to reclean the seat.

NOW we were ready to rock and roll.....took her out for her maiden voyage and boy did I miss her.....everything that was making me want to set everything on fire with all the hassles and expenses finally made it all worth it!!!

Stay tuned..... next up, she's going into the panel beaters to bring her back to her former glory and give that paint the care it needs and repair some panels, Maybe @FiRi@Rennzport would sponsor a replacement front bumper :p)

From there she will be going to get her mapping redone, stainless steel brake lines put in and potential water meth down the line.

Glad to see this project moving forward again. It also looks like many hours have been spent on the car.

Once it’s done at the panelbeaters, and after your visit to Danny, you must swing past my place for some microfiber to keep it looking new

Small update gents.

Been traveling bit, so she got put to the side but never forgotten.

Treated her for Xmas and Got some wheel spacers...10mm in the front and 15mm at the rear with extended bolts all round (looks so mean!!!)

Only thing I've noticed is that the rear is slightly touching when driving around parking lots when climbing sides, etc....anyone know someone that could help with a slight fender rolling and is there a way to slightly lift the rear (got stock M sport springs and koni str shocks)

Except for that, she also got new rear discs and pads aswell....so all around she has been refreshed!

She'll hopefully be getting some Special Danny treatment at DSC motorsports in the next two weeks.

Then after that, off she goes for some needed body work / spray painting.
